Summary
A series of linear ditched historic field boundaries on the west side of Back Lane, Broadwindsor, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s. The form of the field boundaries and their location within sub divided enclosures of probable medieval origin suggest a medieval to post medieval date range. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
A series of linear banked and ditched historic field boundaries on the west side of Back Lane, Broadwindsor, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and (2). The form of the field boundaries and their location within sub divided enclosures of probable medieval origin suggest a medieval to post medieval date range. The site is now under modern development and is not visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
