A possible post medieval extractive pit on the west side of Back Lane, Broadwindsor, is visible as an earthwork around 37m in length on the latest Lidar imagery (1). It appears to extend beneath a historic field boundary shown on the OS 1st Edition map but the quarry itself is not shown. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
