Summary

Historic ditched field boundaries to the northeast of Higher Park Farm, Broadwindsor,are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s. The boundaries form a small rectilinear enclosure and are probably post medieval in origin, although an earlier date is possible. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Historic ditched field boundaries to the northeast of Higher Park Farm, Broadwindsor,are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The boundaries form a small rectilinear enclosure in the northwest corner of a larger enclosure of probable medieval origin, suggesting a post medieval date, although an earlier date is also possible. The site is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
