Monument record MDO39021 - Historic field boundary, Fir Farm, Burstock
Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A ditched historic field boundary to the west of Fir Farm, Burstock, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s. It is located within a series of narrow rectilinear enclosures that may fossilise medieval strip fields but the boundary itself is likely to be post medieval in origin, although an earlier date is possible. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
