Probable post medieval extractive pits to the southwest of Stoke Knapp Farm, Stoke Abbott, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and 1970s (2). The quarried areas measure around 75m and 38m in length; the smaller of these to the southeast is cut by an historic trackway (MDO39025).The extractive pits are still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
