Summary
Historic banked field boundaries to the southwest of Stoke Knapp Farm, Stoke Abbott, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s. The boundaries are located within enclosures of probable medieval origin, which they appear to sub divide, suggesting a medieval to post medieval date range. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
Historic banked field boundaries to the southwest of Stoke Knapp Farm, Stoke Abbott, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and (2). The boundaries are located within enclosures of probable medieval origin, which they appear to sub divide, suggesting a medieval to post medieval date range. One of the boundaries remains visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
