Summary

Fragments of sinuous bank and ditched features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs in the field immediately to the south of Castlewood Farm. They are considered to be field boundaries or drainage features of medieval or later date and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Fragments of sinuous bank and ditched features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs in the field immediately to the south of Castlewood Farm (1). They are considered to be field boundaries or drainage features of medieval or later date and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The features have been partially levelled but some are still visible on recent lidar imagery (2).
