Summary
Historic banked field boundaries to the south of Higher Brimley Coombe Farm, Stoke Abbott, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s. The boundaries are considered likely to range between the medieval and post medieval periods. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
Historic banked field boundaries to the south of Higher Brimley Coombe Farm, Stoke Abbott, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The boundaries are considered likely to range in date between the medieval and post medieval periods, with a curving banked boundary to the south of the farm likely to be the oldest in origin, with a potentially medieval or earlier date. The site is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
