Full Description
Foundation courses of a wall comprising three courses of squared limestone blocks on the southern face bonded with a gritty lime mortar and with a rubble core. A spread of material on the northern side was had collapsed from the wall. A soil deposit on the southern side of the wall incorporated probable wall debris and areas of burning. Finds included Romano-British pottery and animal bone. Interpreted as a modest building. A layer of mixed limestone brash and clay subsoil covered the wall and appeared to indicate a relatively tight zone of activity near the eastern edge of the site.
