Summary

Rectory built in the early 19th century, now a dwelling. The building has walls of cob and rubble stone, covered in painted render, and a thatched roof with brick chimney stacks. There are later extensions, including a verandah. The poet, scholar and schoolmaster William Barnes was rector of Winterborne Came from 1862 to 1886; he lived here, and is buried in the churchyard at Winterborne Came.
