Summary
Chapel, formerly the Parish Church of Saint Michael and All Saints. It is thought to be medieval in origin, but it was largely rebuilt in the 17th century (datestone 1650). Little evidence of the original church has been identified. The building has walls of coursed ashlar and the roof is covered in stone slates. Undifferentiated nave and chancel with west porch.

(ST 84571117) Hanford Chapel (NAT) <1>
THE PARISH CHURCH ST. MICHAEL AND ALL ANGELS, some 50 yds N. of Hanford House, has walls of coursed ashlar and is roofed with stone-slates; the walls are probably of Medieval origin but the church was largely rebuilt in the middle of the 17th century. The crypt is modern. <2>
