Summary
The large hollow, 38m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 to the east of Foxbury Raod, Grange Estate. The hollow is irregular/rectilinear in shape and may be associated with post medieval extraction. The site was visible within open heathland in 1946, there has been no major land disturbance since this date although the earthwork may have been partially levelled and is no longer visible on recent imagery. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description
The large hollow, 38m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 to the east of Foxbury Raod, Grange Estate (1). The hollow is irregular/rectilinear in shape and may be associated with post medieval extraction. The site was visible within open heathland in 1946, there has been no major land disturbance since this date and it is still visible on recent imagery (2). The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
