Summary

An extensive system of drainage ditches of probable late 19th century or early 20th century origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 to either side of Foxbury Road, Grange Estate. There has been some minor urban infill since the 1940s when some of the features have been destroyed, much however is still visible on recent imagery. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

An extensive system of drainage ditches of probable late 19th century or early 20th century origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 to either side of Foxbury Road, Grange Estate (1). There has been some minor urban infill since the 1940s and some of the features have been destroyed, others are still visible on recent imagery (2). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
