The probable site of a Second World War bomb impact crater is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 within what is now Avon Heath Country Park, Barnsfield Wood (1). The curvilinear hollow was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The site is now under scrubby vegetation and light tree cover and therefore its current condition could not be accessed (2).
