Summary
A large building of possible military origin is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs taken in 1945 and 1946, immediately to the south of Boundary Lane, Matchams. The building is considered likely to be associated with the Second World War and was removed shortly after. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description
A large building of possible military origin is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs taken in 1945 and 1946, immediately to the south of Boundary Lane, Matchams (1-2). The building is considered likely to be associated with the Second World War and was removed shortly after. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The land has remained undeveloped since the war and is now under scrubby vegetation and light tree cover (3), some foundations may remain.
