Monument record MDO39377 - Post-medieval pottery kiln at Pound Lane, Wareham Town

Please read our .

Summary

A quantity of pottery thought to be 15th/16th century found in a linear feature during an evaluation of the site for future development. It included a rod handle from a jug with an olive green and brown glaze, a T-shaped glazed rim from a bowl and various glazed sherds. Dripping over the sherd edges may be indicative of kiln wasters, possibly indicating a kiln site nearby.
