A post medieval extractive pit on Barnfield Heath is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1) and is still identifiable on current Lidar imagery (2). The extractive pit is located on the east side of Heath Road and measures around 10.5m by 9m. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
