Full Description

A possible Bronze Age barrow situated on the eastern edge of a small escarpment to the north of Bostwick Farm is visible on 1940s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1 and 2). The possible barrow mound measures 17m across and has a small ditched depression with a cast up earth bank set into its southwest side, possibly of modern military origin. The mound is very low and may alternatively be part of the natural geology. The features are under scrub on current Google Earth imagery and not clearly visible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
