Post medieval drainage channels on Week Common are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. (1).
The drainage channels comprise three groups of deeply incised but short sections of channel, broadly linear with one curving channel linking the central group. There is no clear pattern to the channels but the two westernmost groups broadly align with a group of post medieval field boundaries in the same location (MDO39556).
The drainage channels are still visible as ditched earthworks on current Google Earth imagery and were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP. (2).
