A group of barrows and mounds in Seven Barrow Plantation: (2)
Further mounds in Seven Barrow Plantation are shown on OS 25" 1929 and OS 6" 1963 but not mentioned by RCHM or Grinsell.
'Q' - SY 64759245. No further information. A mound situated beside a feature annotated 'Tanks' on OS 6" 1963 at SY 64919249 may be a ?covered reservoir. Not shown on OS 6" 1903. (6)
An unusual barrow group situated near the crest of a broad south-west spur. The undergrowth which formerly obscured the group and limited investigation has been removed and the north-west half of the area completely cleared of woodland. This part is regularly used as a cattle pen with the consequence that severe damage is incurred by their trampling, especially to the lower monuments. See plan and ground photographs.
'Q'. SY 64759244. A bowl barrow, 9.5 metres in diameter and 0.4 metres high, with no trace of a ditch. Barrows surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D.
