Summary

Ditched trackways are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 within Ringwood Forest, running roughly NW-SE, parallel to the parish boundary of Verwood and Alderholt. They are considered to be ancient routeways across what was Cranbornethe common possibly originating in the post medieval, medieval or even earlier periods. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
