Full Description

A post medieval or early 20th century ditched field boundary overlying a series of post medieval ditched drainage channels to the west of Quomp Copse are visible on 1940s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1 and 2). The rectilinear ditched boundary aligns broadly north to south and may be contemporary with a system of adjacent boundaries to the south and west (MDO39561). A series of slightly curvilinear ditched drainage channels underlie the boundary on an east-west alignment, presumably draining towards the watercourse to the east. The features are clearly visible on Google Eartth imagery of 2012 (3) and on current Google Earth imagery of 2017 (4). The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
