Summary
A crouched adult inhumation of unknown date was found during construction of a reservoir between Hilton and Ansty Cross. The body had been laid on its left side facing east, and there was no trace of grave goods. The area in the immediate vicinity of the grave was examined with negative results and no other graves were noticed during the excavation of a very large area.

Full Description
An undated inhumation burial was found at ST 77570349 between Hilton and Ansty Cross and reported by Mr Cowley. The head of a crouched, adult burial had been cut off by a machine digging a reservoir. The body had been laid on its left side facing east. There was no trace of grave goods. The area in the immediate vicinity of the grave was examined with negative results and no other graves were noticed during the excavation of a very large area. <1>
