Summary

A series of parallel linear ditched features in fields to the east of Bramblewood, Hurn, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are probably associated with a drainage system of post medieval origin. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

A series of parallel linear ditched features in fields to the east of Bramblewood, Hurn, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1). The features run under historic field boundaries shown on the OS 1st Edition map and are probably associated with a drainage system of post medieval origin. The features are still faintly visible on current Google Earth imagery and were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
