Summary

Wide ridge and furrow-like cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the field to the north west of Ironmongers Copse. The features are considered to be the result of 19th or early 20th century cultivation although an earlier medieval origin is possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

Wide ridge and furrow-like cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the field to the north west of Ironmongers Copse (1). The features are considered to be the result of 19th or early 20th century cultivation although an earlier medieval origin is possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The features lie within a possible prehistoric enclosure described in MDO39780.
