Full Description

A rectlinear banked feature is visible on St Catherine's Hill on 1940s aerial photographs (1). The feature is 11m by 5.5m and it abuts a linear banked earthwork (MWX1054) on its northern side. It may be a post medieval or modern building platform, perhaps a building associated with post medieval quarrying or modern military activity on St Catherine's Hill (1). The feature is under heathland vegetation and tree cover on a 2014 vertical aerial photograph and is not visible (2). The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
