Summary
Several banked and ditched linear field boundaries are visible at Briars Farm to the east of Dudmoor Lane, Christchurch, on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are likely to be post medieval or later in origin, although and earlier date is also possible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
Several banked and ditched linear field boundaries are visible at Briars Farm to the east of Dudmoor Lane, Christchurch, on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features are likely to be post medieval or later in origin, although an earlier date is also possible. The two northernmost boundaries in the set may represent part of one longer boundary. At its eastern end this boundary is cut by an area of post medieval extraction (MDO39796). At its western end the boundary extends across an area of post medieval extraction (MDO39796).
The features are within partially open ground and under tree cover on a 2014 vertical aerial photograph and are not visible (2). Their current condition is not known.
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
