Summary

A series of ditched trackways are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 running West-East to the west of Tree Legged Cross, Holt. They are considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

A series of ditched trackways are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 running West-East to the west of Tree Legged Cross, Holt (1). They are considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. Much of the site was destroyed by the construction of the electricity sub-station in 1966, the eastern end is still visible as low earthworks in a pasture field).
