Summary

Two banked parallel linear features visible on current Lidar imagery in a field to the southwest of Bowerswain Cottages, Gussage All Saints,are likely to be post medieval field boundaries, although an earlier origin is possible.The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

Two banked linear features are visible on current Lidar imagery in a field to the southwest of Bowerswain Cottages, Gussage All Saints (1). The banked earthworks are aligned southwest to northeast and run parallel to each other 24m apart. They are likely to be field boundaries of post medieval date, although an earlier origin is also possible. The features are within a cropped field on a 2014 vertical aerial photograph and are not visible (2). The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
