Full Description

A post medieval extractive pit 59m long by 32.5m wide (at widest extent) is visible to the northeast of Gussage All Saints on current Lidar imagery (1). The pit is marked as Old Chalk Pit on the OS 1st Edition map (2). The site is within cropping fields on current Google Earth imagery and is still visible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
