Summary
A cluster of five possible post medieval extractive pits are visible as cropmarks to the northeast of Gussage All Saints on a 1995 and a 2005 aerial photograph. The features may be chalk or marl pits of medieval or post medieval origin. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
A cluster of five possible post medieval extractive pits around 5m to 6m in diameter are visible as cropmarks to the northeast of Gussage All Saints on a 1995 aerial photograph and a 2005 aerial photograph (1 and 2). The features may be chalk or marl pits of medieval or post medieval origin.
The pits are located at the northern end of a modern cropping field, the surviving boundaries of which are of probable medieval origin.
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
