Full Description
A series of narrow ditched linear features are visible as cropmarks to the northeast of Gussage All Saints on a 1995 aerial photograph (1). The features may be historic field boundaries of medieval or post medieval origin. The linear features are aligned broadly east to west and lie broadly parallel at random intervals. They run across the grain of the historic field pattern. Some of the ditched linears may represent trackways. It is also possible that the features represent medieval strip field boundaries.
The features are within a cropped field and some are visible on a 2009 vertical aerial photograph (2).
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
