Summary

Parallel scarped lynchets visible to the southwest of Brockington Farm on 1940s aerial photographs may be associated with an historic drainage system of medieval or post medieval origin. The features are located to the northwest and downslope of the deserted medieval settlement of Knowlton (MDO6412). The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

Parallel scarped lynchets visible to the southwest of Brockington Farm on 1940s aerial photographs may be associated with an historic drainage system of medieval or post medieval origin (1). The features are located to the northwest and downslope of the deserted medieval settlement of Knowlton (MDO6412). The features are no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
