Summary
Fragments of a ditched field system are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1985 and 1992 to the south of the River Crane at Horton Farm, Horton. The field boundaries lie in the vicinity of three ring ditches and a possible prehistoric enclosure and may therefore be of prehistoric origin although a later medieval or post medieval date cannot be ruled out. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Fragments of a ditched field system are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1985 and 1992 to the south of the River Crane at Horton Farm, Horton (1-2). The field boundaries lie in the vicinity of three ring ditches (described MDO39843-5) and a possible prehistoric enclosure (MDO39914) and may therefore be of prehistoric origin although a later medieval or post medieval date cannot be ruled out. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
