A group of low mounds are visible as earthworks within Knowlton Henge on a 2014 aerial photograph.The features may be post medieval mounds associated with Knowlton Church and its enclosure, although an earlier, possibly even prehistoric, origin is also possible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
A group of low mounds are visible as earthworks within Knowlton Henge on a 2014 aerial photograph (1).
The features comprise three mounds around 5m in diameter and a smaller mound around 1.8m in diamter. Two of the mounds are located within the rectilinear enclosure surrounding Knowlton Church. The other two lie outside the enclosure, one of these directly adjacent to its northeast side. The features may be post medieval mounds associated with Knowlton Church and its enclosure, although an earlier, possibly even prehistoric, origin is also possible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
