Summary

A sub-oval cropmark on the northwest edge of the Knowlton Barrow Group is faintly visible on 1970s aerial photographs. The feature may represent a Bronze Age barrow. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

A sub-oval cropmark on the northwest edge of the Knowlton Barrow Group is faintly visible on 1970s aerial photographs (1). The feature is 11m long by 12.5m wide and enclosed by a single 1m wide ditch. It is truncated on its west side by a linear cropmark, possibly part of a later prehistoric field system. The feature may represent a Bronze Age barrow. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
