Full Description
A long sub-rectangular cropmark on the northwest edge of the Knowlton Barrow Group is faintly visible on 1970s aerial photographs (1).
The feature is 20.5m long by 8m wide and enclosed by a single 0.5m wide ditch. The feature is similar in form to another cropmark to the west (MDO40039) and may represent a Neolithic long barrow. Alternatively, it may be an enclosure of later origin, possibly Iron Age or Romano-British in date.
The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
