Summary

A sub-circular cropmark on the north-west edge of the Knowlton Barrow Group is visible on an aerial photograph taken in 2014. The feature may represent a Bronze Age barrow although it may alternatively be natural in origin. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

A sub-circular cropmark on the northwest edge of the Knowlton Barrow Group is faintly visible on a 2014 aerial photographs (1). The feature is broadly sub-oval andmeasures 14.8m by 11.5m; it may be slightly truncated on its northeast side by a historic field boundary. The feature may represent a Bronze Age barrow although it may alternatively be natural in origin. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
