Summary
A Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs from 1945. The barrow is associated with the extensive barrow cemetery known as the Knowlton Circles Barrow Group. It was mapped by English Heritage's Knowlton Circles Project and was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
SU 0288 1044. A Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs, and has been mapped by EH's Knowlton Circles Project. It is visible as a plough levelled mound 26.2m in diameter. The barrow is associated with the extensive barrow cemetery known as the Knowlton Circles Barrow Group. <1>
A sub-circular cropmark at Knowlton is faintly suggested as a cropmark on 1940s aerial photographs. <1>
The feature measures around 26m in diameter and is visible as a plough levelled mound. It probably represents a Bronze Age barrow.
The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
