Full Description

The ditch is part of two linear ditches running roughly parallel in an northeast - southwest alignment. The ditches were identified on aerial photographs. The ditch is approximately 5o0 metres and is the northern ditch of the pair. Located roughly northwest of Gussage St Michael and may have connected with other ditches such as Sixpenny Handley (a68) and Tarrant Hinton (22). <1> A complex of linear features and field boundaries east of Gussage St Andrew and northwest of Gussage Hill. Visible only as cropmarks, the linears appear to form part of the same system as the multiple ditch system ST 91 SE 3, which effectively forms the southern and eastern boundary of this particular complex. Further to the north, ST 91 NE 73 and 76 appear to be part of the same complex. <2-4>
