Summary
The probable site of a post medieval extractive pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the northeast of Hillbrook, Horton.  A series of linear features running up to it from the southwest are considered to be contemporary trackways.  The site is still visible under trees on lidar imagery; it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description
                The probable site of a post medieval extractive pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the northeast of Hillbrook, Horton (1).  A series of linear features running up to it from the southwest are considered to be contemporary trackways.  The site is still visible under trees on lidar imagery (2); it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
