Full Description

Linear ditched and banked cropmarks are visible at Knowlton on a 1995 aerial photograph (1). The linears are slightly curvilinear in form, with one banked linear having a more rectilinear character. They are located in the top northwest corner of a historic field enclosure and are presumed to represent trackways or field boundaries of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
