Summary

Ditched linear features to the west of Deer Park Cottages are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are presumed to represent historic trackways, probably post medieval in date, although an earlier origin is possible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Ditched linear features to the west of Deer Park Cottages are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs (1). The features are situated within a medieval deer park and are presumed to represent historic trackways, probably post medieval in date, although an earlier origin is possible. The features are within cropping fields on a 2014 aerial photograph (2) and are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
