Summary
A banked curvilinear earthwork to the north of Keepers Cottage is visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The feature follows the line of a historic boundary present on the OS 1st Edition map and assumed to fossilise a medieval deer park boundary. The curvilinear bank may represent part of the original deer park boundary bank. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
A banked curvilinear earthwork to the north of Keepers Cottage is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The feature comprises a 65.5m length of curvilinear bank that follows the line of a historic boundary present on the OS 1st Edition map and assumed to fossilise a medieval deer park boundary (2). The curvilinear bank may represent part of the original deer park boundary bank.
The feature is on the northern edge of a cropping field in a 2014 aerial photograph and no longer visible; although it may survive within the vegetation of the present-day hedged field boundary (3). The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
