Summary
Ditched linear earthworks on the Avon floodplain to the west of Burton are visible on 1940s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery. The features are considered to be drainage ditches of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
Ditched linear earthworks on the Avon floodplain to the west of Burton are visible on 1940s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1-3)..
The features are considered to be drainage ditches of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible.
The majority of features remain visible, albeit faintly in some cases, on current Google Earth imagery. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
