Summary
A ditched linear earthwork on the Avon River floodplain to the northeast of Christchurch is visible on 1940s and 1950s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery. The feature is considered to be a historic trackway of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is also possible. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

A ditched linear earthwork on the Avon River floodplain to the northeast of Christchurch is visible on 1940s and 1950s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1-3).
The feature is considered to be a historic trackway of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is also possible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
