Summary

Ditched linear features on the south side of Barrack Road, Jumpers Common, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are presumed to be drainage ditches of probable post medieval date. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

Ditched linear features in a field on the south side of Barrack Road, Jumpers Common, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1). The features comprise narrow and interlinked rectilinear ditches presumed to be historic drainage ditches of probable post medieval date. The site is still open ground and the features are still faintly visible on current Google Earth imagery. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
