A post medieval chalk pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the west of Hussey's Copse. It is one of two hollows visible as low earthworks lidar imagery, it is also visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
