Summary
A large hollow is visible as earthworks under trees on lidar imagery to the west of Moor Crichel. It lies within a coppice marked as The Menagerie on the OS 1st Edition Map and is considered likely to be a post medieval extractive pit or quarry.  It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Shown on Plan as a walled and fenced [pit for animals].  <1>
 
An old disused chalk pit of no apparent arch significance.  <2>
A large hollow is visible as earthworks under trees on lidar imagery to the west of Moor Crichel  <4>.   It lies within a coppice marked as The Menagerie on the OS 1st Edition Map and is considered likely to be a post medieval extractive pit or quarry.  It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
