Full Description
Ditched and banked curvilinear features at Canford Bottom are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise two curvilinear features that align southeast to northwest before angling to continue west and southwest. One features overlies the other, indicating separate phases of activity but both features may potentially be field boundaries of possible medieval origin, although a later date is also possible.
The site is under housing on Stapehill Crescent on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
